Nobody quite understands the struggles military spouses face other than other military spouses. Some of the biggest issues spouses face are finding employment in over-saturated job markets and the stigma of hiring someone who may leave in two-to-three years.
Navigating your career is the primary focus of the 2020 Virtual Military Spouse Symposium April 29-30. This free virtual event will have interactive sessions on education resources, federal job search and starting your own business. Sessions start at 9 a.m. each day and run through 4 p.m.
There is also an event with Taya Kyle, the wife of the late Chris Kyle who wrote the book “American Sniper.” She will discuss military relationships at 3 p.m. on April 30.
You can register for any of the virtual sessions online through MySECO.
