The U.S Army Garrison Bavaria Halloween Invitational Box Championship, held at the Tower Barracks Field House on Oct. 26, 2024, was a great sporting event that brought together boxers from all over Europe to battle it out in the ring.
This year they decided to make a Halloween-themed boxing championship that consisted of a fun and spooky Halloween costume contest as well as a thrilling intermission show a high-energy DJ with pop, hip hop, and Halloween-themed music, and food and beverages to satisfy cravings. The intermission featured acts from the local performing arts center showing off skits for their upcoming plays.
There were a total of 22 fights participating in this spine-chilling event. There were ten weight classes for both males and females.
The winner of the championship was Vilseck, with Ramstein in second, and Hohenfels in third. A few of the other awards were first and second place for each bout, first, second, and third team trophies, and best overall male and female boxer awards (aka. belts).
The best overall boxer award was given to Spc Rega.
Stars and Stripes was there to help cheer on these amazing athletes.
