RAMSTEIN AIR BASE – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is helping Airmen and families stay ready and resilient with the opening of a new healthy restaurant at Ramstein Air Base.
Col. John Zapata, 86th Mission Support Group commander, joined local Exchange leaders in cutting the ribbon on a Bun-D restaurant at the Exchange’s Kaiserslautern Military Community Center mall on April 19. Bun-D’s menu focuses on better-for-you options, such as salads, pita wraps, pita pizzas, rice bowls and smoothies.
“The Exchange is pleased to offer more healthy choices to the Ramstein community,” Exchange General Manager Carl Carpenter said. “It’s an Exchange priority to provide dining options that support a healthy lifestyle for our Warfighters and families.”
The Ramstein Exchange Bun-D, Bldg. 3336 Kissling Ave., is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call 06-71-9522800.
