DALLAS —With schools in Europe closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service will begin providing grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches for students beginning March 23.

From 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., families can stop by one of the centralized locations for the grab-and-go meals. Students will need to have their school meal card available to receive the meal.

“The brown-bag option allows students to continue eating healthy meals prepared in a clean and safe environment,” said Col. Scott McFarland, the Exchange’s Europe/Southwest Asia commander. “Even though classes aren’t meeting in person, children are still learning in virtual classrooms, and the Exchange’s school meal program will continue to serve them.”

The following schools will participate in the grab-and-go meal program:

  • Baumholder Smith Elementary School

  • Landstuhl Elementary School

  • Ramstein Elementary School

  • Vogelweh Elementary School

  • Kaiserslautern High School

  • Sembach Elementary School

  • Ansbach Elementary School

  • Stuttgart High School

  • Patch Middle School

  • RB School

  • Netzarberg Elementary and Middle School

  • Vilseck Elementary School

  • Hohenfels Elementary School

  • Aukum Elementary School

  • Wiesbaden Elementary School

The Exchange operates the school meal program for military students overseas, serving more than 2.5 million meals a year.
