Rambunctious meets tranquil in this comedy about a serene life disrupted by the unknown, one of two one-act plays performed by an all-youth cast at the Bavaria Performing Arts center in Grafenwöhr.

“Twitch,” a youth production, follows curious wife Nancy (Susanna Lynch) as she searches for the truth and becomes susupicious about her mysterious neighbors. Her husband Don (Stella Druitt) doesn’t believe her (at first). Nancy begins to feel as though she is crazy as things start to cross the threshold from happenstance into bizarre.

Perfectly timed for the spooky fall season, this hilarious show finds Don and Nancy in an awkward situation faced with the new folks suddenly in their house.

“When someone twitches, beware!”

The odd nature of the childish, sloppy and disheveled new neighbors, Emma (Emmalyn Taylor) and Aiden (Holly Hain) leaves all of us laughing, but also wondering what is going on. Emma is especially stand-out with her oblivious nature and messy hair and clothes. We all agree with Nancy at this point: they are odd.

This youth cast works in synergy, bringing their comedic timing and expressive skills to the stage.

In the end we learn that the mysterious neighbors aren’t exactly who they say they are; in fact, they need Nancy and Don’s help.
