The U.S. Army IMCOM Tournament of Plays, or TOPPERs, is a black-tie, red carpet event held yearly to recognize outstanding performers from the military community theaters from Army and Air Force bases across Europe.
The evening gala event featured performances from several of the shows nominated for these prestigious awards. Over the course of the theater season, adjudicators travel to eight different military community theaters to watch performances. These live theater events are part of the backbone of these communities where thousands of volunteer hours are needed for each show.
2024 marked the 63rd annual TOPPERs awards ceremony. It was held at the Wiesbaden Fitness Center on April 27. There were also special celebrity video presentations by Lin-Manuel Miranda, David Hyde Pierce, Harvey Feirstein, Carrie Preston, Stephen Flaherty and Chris Pine.
Congratulations to the winners. Click the show links below for Stripes Europe coverage of the performances.
