Moving to Germany has been a wonderful and exciting experience. However, it seemed like there were no conventions or events to revel in the fandom with fellow lovers of movies, anime, comic books and other popular culture. Apparently, I was wrong. If you are looking for a way to warm up indoors and get some holiday shopping done before the Christmas markets, we’ve got you covered.
German Vikings Con: Nov. 5: Neuss | Featuring panels, special guests, meet-and-greets and autograph/photo opportunities all about the Vikings television show.
Saar Retro Market: Nov. 5: Völklingen | Featuring a focus on horror and mystery, buy and sell collectables, toys, video games, play games, take a chance at winning a raffle, take pictures, attend a lecture and so much more.
Bricking Bavaria: Nov. 18-20: Fürth | Featuring dioramas, building areas for kids and AFOLs (adult fans of LEGO®), and shopping opportunities at “one of the biggest LEGO® fan exhibitions of the year in Germany.”
Comic and Manga Convention: Nov. 19: Hiltrup | Featuring artists, classic and new comics, figurines, merchants, workshops and toys.
Comic Con Stuttgart: Nov. 26-27: Stuttgart | Featuring special guests, photo and autograph opportunities, cosplaying, comics, artists, merchandise dealers, and staged events.
Table Top Thursdays: Every Thursday | Join other board gamers at the Ramstein Enlisted Club.
Many of these events are so popular, that tickets sell out quickly. Save the date on these events regardless of whether they are sold out for this year, including the events listed on the German Comic Con website for 2023!
Due to ever-changing regulations, make sure you check the website before traveling for an event. Also, inclusion of an event on the list is not an endorsement for the authenticity or quality of event
