2.    “The Nutcracker”: What is the Christmas season without watching this classic show at least once? Although, I must admit the Rat King still freaks me out as an adult. See the show as performed by the professional Classical Ballet Naples in Kaiserslautern on Sunday or support local homeschooled youth by checking out their performance in Landstuhl on Friday.

3.    Borschtsch Benefits Festival: Need a break from all things Christmas? Make your way to Trier on Saturday and Sunday for the Borschtsch Benefits Festival where you can taste Ukrainian treats, shop crafts and enjoy live music at this benefit “raising funds for an ambulance and essential medical equipment for the hospital in Lyman, Donetsk region.”

KMC Armed Forces Against Drunk Driving has volunteer drivers ready to give you a safe ride home if you have been drinking. They are available from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Follow them on Facebook to get their latest information or to volunteer.
