1.    Long Sauna Night-POLAR LIGHTS in Saarbrücken: The spa is staying open late Friday Jan. 17 night for special events including moonlight bathing, smoking ceremonies, natural infusions and more.

2.    FC Kaiserslautern vs. SSV Ulm: Cheer on K-Town this Saturday Jan. 18 as they take on the competition at this soccer game, the second-half-of-the-season opener.

3.    Space Tour- Pop and Rock Under the Stars: Enjoy the music of Rhianna, Coldplay, Depeche Mode and more at the Mannheim Planetarium on Saturday Jan. 18.

  • Speyer: My House! Trade Fair: Come out on Saturday and Sunday for all things home and yard. There will be dozens of exhibitors as well as lectures.

  • Ramstein Craft Shop (Ramstein Air Base): January Model Painting Class: Sign up to learn how to paint the “Artifice Hopper” model for table top gaming.

Sunday, Jan. 19
  • Trier: “Taking Sides” live on stage (English-language event): See this play set in 1946 Germany: “The British military government is collecting material on the world-famous conductor Wilhelm Furtwängler - they are looking for documents, questioning witnesses and finally Furtwängler himself. But the longer the investigations take, the more opaque the case becomes. Was the famous man an opponent of the Nazis - or their ardent supporter?”

KMC Armed Forces Against Drunk Driving has volunteer drivers ready to give you a safe ride home if you have been drinking. They are available from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Follow them on Facebook to get their latest information or to volunteer.
