Do you love social media and all things marketing? Are you looking to keep your digital marketing skills up to date? Or, maybe you need more marketing experience to put on your resume. Either way, you’re in luck! Stars and Stripes Europe is seeking highly motivated volunteers to assist for 10-12 hours for the following social media and marketing opportunities:
Social Media Coordinator – This volunteer will implement Stars and Stripes social media policy, develop brand awareness, generate traffic to stripes.com and europe.stripes.com, foster sharing among followers and fans, and cultivate mobile app sales and leads. Our ideal volunteer has some experience and a passion for social media strategy, copywriting, creativity and community participation. The person has a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research.
Daily tasks will include: managing social media campaigns and day-to-day activities including curating relevant content to reach target audiences, writing marketing content, developing and expanding social media communities (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.), overseeing design, managing promotions and Facebook campaigns.
Marketing Assistant will prepare copy to promote campaigns for Stars and Stripes. This may include direct mail marketing, sales flyers, taglines, postcards, brochures, posters, email advertising, print and digital, AFN television or radio commercial scripts, press releases, and other marketing media. The person will generate copy to accompany advertising visuals and set the tone of the ad campaign with verbal content and visual elements. They will also assist in partnering with AFN to get the word out about our products and services on weekly radio shows.
Stars and Stripes Europe headquarters is located on Kleber Kaserne. Chosen volunteers will assist in the Member Services department. If you are interested, please contact the Kleber Red Cross Office at 0631-411-8702 to register as a volunteer.
