Porcelain on table ()
The world’s largest Department of Defense bazaar returns to Ramstein Air Base from Sept. 15 to 18. Vendors from across Europe will set up shop in two hangars and a giant tent for a shopping extravaganza. The bazaar is an 86th Force Support Squadron event, produced by the Ramstein Officers’ Spouses’ Club (ROSC).
The Ramstein Bazaar gives shoppers an opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind items including pottery, antiques, rugs, furniture, home decor, wines, cheeses, chocolates, and other European treasures.
Shoppers will find a wide array of food vendors at the bazaar. Private organizations and booster clubs from the Kaiserslautern Military Community will be offering delicious food options. These vendors only accept cash so bring U.S. dollars to save yourself from standing in line at the ATM.
Everyone is welcome to visit the bazaar, but only DOD and NATO ID card holders with SOFA status can make purchases. If you’re bringing small children, please be advised Thursday and Friday are stroller days. On Saturday and Sunday, you will be asked to leave your strollers outside the hangars. All sales are in U.S. dollars and can be made with cash, Visa, and MasterCard.
The Ramstein Bazaar is open Thursday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 18. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, and to see pictures of what to expect at this year’s Ramstein Bazaar, follow the event on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ramsteinbazaar or check out the Bazaar website at www.ramsteinbazaar.org.
Ramstein Bazaar Gives Back
The Ramstein Bazaar is so important to the KMC because a portion of every sale and 100 percent of the net proceeds goes to organizations such as local schools, scout troops, non-profits, and base events. In 2020 and 2021, ROSC distributed more than $292,000 to the KMC through welfare requests, scholarships, and the annual Operation Holiday Cheer.

Volunteers Crucial to the Bazaar Success
The bazaar would not be possible without the help of hundreds of volunteers. Anyone who is 16 years old or older and a DOD ID card holder is encouraged to sign up for jobs including hospitality, finance, hangar operations and more. Volunteers are also needed to make food donations leading up to the bazaar.
To sign up to volunteer, visit www.ramsteinbazaar.org and click the “Volunteer” tab. If you have a group that wants to volunteer together, email the Ramstein Bazaar volunteer coordinator at volunteer@ramsteinbazaar.org.
