Triolago ()
As spring unfurls its vibrant colors and transitions into the warmer summer months, the country is brimming with outdoor adventures. Or go for gusto and try glamping. It’s like camping, but posh. CampingPark Triolago offers visitors the chance to catch some shut-eye in a “Weinfass” or giant wine barrel.
For water sport enthusiasts, you can paddle around the lakes and enjoy the scenery of rolling green vineyards lining the banks of the Mosel. Need something more challenging? Head to Wakepark-Triolago and give wakeboarding a try. If you’d rather keep to dry land, challenge your friends or family to a few rousing rounds of miniature golf at Spielgolf. Or head up the hill to Erlenbis-Rodelbahn. This adrenaline-inducing alpine coaster winds its way down a tree-lined track and is fantastic fun for kids of all ages. You can also take a short 20-minute drive south and explore the majestic ruins in Germany’s oldest city, Trier.
Wine aficionados will be in heaven with the vast array of wineries in the adjacent village of Riol. Locally sourced and grown, these award-winning vintners produce some of the finest wines in the world. Taste your way (responsibly) through the different varieties and sample the area’s delicious local cuisine. Or simply sit under the shaded patio and enjoy the picturesque beauty surrounding you.
