Since you are in the area, you might as well visit Santa. His resort is on the outskirts of Kakslauttanen and the big man himself is there year-round, spreading holly, jolly cheer. Santa’s resort is, of course, a big red cabin located just over a wooden walking bridge across a narrow river in the forest (sounds suspiciously like the way to grandmother’s house, but it’s not). After you’ve given Santa the rundown on your Christmas wishes, head to the Celebration House for a hot drink or a bite to eat. This house is the largest log building in Finland.
