TREATMENT DIFFERENCES OFF INSTALLATION
While there may be some cultural and treatment differences in Türkiye, rest assured that the medical standard of care you receive is the highest quality. Although there are a few differences in medical practices, 39 MDG staff collaborate with the host nation medical partners, ensuring a positive outcome and experience for all patients. Local hospitals do accept TRICARE.
CIVILIAN MEDICAL CARE
Preferred Network Facilities for Civilians are not supported. Adana hospitals do not accept civilian insurance. Some insurance providers will reimburse individuals for out-of-pocket costs, but this should be discussed with the insurance provider before seeking care.
For services provided by Acibadem Adana Hospital, visit www.acibadem.com.tr/en/services.
For services provided by Medline Adana Hospital, visit www.medlineadanahospital.com.
DENTAL CARE
The Dental Clinic on the installation provides comprehensive acute dental care for active duty members. Government employees may receive care on a space-available basis.
CIVILIAN MENTAL HEALTH CARE
Preferred Network Facilities for Civilians are not supported.
► U.S. State Laws for insurance and liability do not support care for individuals assigned to Türkiye. As such there is currently no mental health care available in the local community for civilians.
► Overseas civilian employees can also contact the 24/7/365 Employee Assistance Program line by dialing: 1-866-580-9046 and Identifying the Defense Logistics Agency as their servicing agency.
► Resources available include Military and Family Life Counselors, Military OneSource and the chaplain's office.
