The CDC offers weekday childcare for children aged 6 weeks to pre-school age. Experiences are designed to enhance children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. The CDC provides age-appropriate programming, offers nutritionally sound meals and is fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

SAC is for school aged children who are aged 5 and attending kindergarten through students 12 years old. The SAC facility offers before and after school care that includes an escort from the elementary school, help with homework and extensive recreational activities. There are also full-day camps during winter, spring and summer breaks. The SAC program is aligned with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H and is fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). Cost is based on total family income.

The youth complex is for teens aged 11 (and in the 6th grade) to 18 (and in high school). It is a place to hang out, receive homework help, get involved in clubs, enjoy open recreation and participate in special events and field trips into town. The facility itself also boasts video game stations, TV’s, a pool table, ping-pong, air hockey, foosball, musical instruments, and a full-service kitchen.

This program offers seasonal sports like baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, flag football and cheerleading for youth. Trained parents and volunteers help coach the teams.

Swim lessons are also offered periodically at the NAS I Splashers pool.

NPSHVP is a free program from the FFSC for parents who are expecting or have children 3 years of age and younger. The goal of the program is to promote nurturing child-parent relationships through education, support, and referrals to other resources. Programs include parenting classes, playgroups, a pregnancy support group and home visits.

NMCRS periodically offers the Budget for Baby class to help you be financially prepared for welcoming a new baby into your family.

EDIS provides help for children with special needs including psychology, physical and occupational therapy, and special education in addition to early intervention for young children. Available to children ages 2-21 that are eligible to receive MTF services, appointments are required.
