BAUMHOLDER, GERMANY, Feb. 6, 2025 – In November and December 2024, the Baumholder Community Spouses’ Club (BCSC) awarded $7,965.72 in grants to local nonprofit organizations as part of its mission to give back to the community.
“We are proud to support our Baumholder Military Community through our annual grants and scholarships programs,” said Rebekah Schwartz, BCSC’s Chairperson of Scholarships and Welfare. “The grants that we are able to award to local nonprofits have a wide reach and directly impact thousands of lives. BCSC’s goal is to support and empower our community, and giving back through grants is a wonderful way to accomplish our goal.”

BCSC awarded the following grants: $3,500 to Baumholder USA Girl Scouts Overseas (both the organization and troops); $1,500 to Baumholder Cub Scouts Pack 96; $750 to BMHS Junior Class; $650 to BMHS AVID Program; $565.72 to Baumholder Middle High School (BMHS) Parent Teacher Student Association; $500 to BMHS Model United Nations; and $500 to Americans Working Around the Globe. Each organization requested funds to support their operations, including apparel for attending national conferences, organization dues, prom venues, and more.
Applications for spring scholarships will open March 1-31. BCSC proudly offers two scholarship opportunities to its community - The Tracy Rafferty Continuing Education Scholarship, and the new Professional Education and Reimbursement for Licensure (PEARL) Program. The Tracy Rafferty Scholarship provides funds to support general tuition and necessities for approved collegiate and trade programs. The PEARL Program supports continuing education requirements to maintain a professional certificate or license.
