This is one of the largest and most traditional Christmas markets in Germany dating back to the 14th century. There are multiple markets with themes like Nativity, medieval and abstract art.  the main, Marienplatz market will have Advent music played from the town hall balcony and a Krampus run with over 300 Krampuses. Enjoy gingerbread and warm drinks in a variety of mug shapes like the one featured in this picture, boot-shaped, penguin-shaped and more in the heart of Old Town.
