Kate Swartz, thank you for this fun, bright picture! We love seeing giant boot-shaped mugs and this one is so fun from the Köln (Cologne) Christmas Market. There are six main Christmas markets weaving throughout the city that will be held from Nov. 18–Dec. 23, 2024.

From “Gnome Village” to an angel-themed market, there is a lot of holiday whimsy to be experienced in Köln. A Christmas market express mini train can take you to the different markets. To purchase tickets, you can visit Bimmelbahnen.com. It departs every 15 minutes. Being one of the most varied Christmas markets, this is a great place to buy unique gifts for loved ones and to add to your market mug collection as each of the markets features a different design.
