Has all of this talk about the past made you wish you could experience it? Well, in Scotland, you can!

Stirling Castle is one of the largest castles in Scotland. The castle dates back to the 1300s. However, a lot of it was built in the 1400s and 1500s. There is so much to see at the castle.

There is a royal palace where you will feel just like a king or queen walking around. Queen Anne’s Garden and the castle walls were so much fun to explore. When I visited, I could see the entire city of Stirling from the top of the walls!

The Heads Gallery has exactly what the name says: heads (well, wooden heads). These wood carvings were made back in the 1700s. They feature famous people from Scottish history, Greek mythology and ancient Rome.

My favorite thing in the entire castle is the Palace Vaults, and I think it could be your favorite thing too. Each vault is a different room filled with puzzles and interactive exhibits just for kids (but your parents might have fun too). There is a hidden mouse (a fake one) in each room for you to find. There are even historical costumes for you to try on!

I can definitely recommend a fun day at Stirling Castle to any kid.
