Flanders Field American Cemetery in Belgium will host a ceremony on Oct. 27, 2018, at 3 p.m. to mark the 100th anniversary of American operations in Belgium during World War I. Attendance is free and open to the public.
Important information for those attending the ceremony:
Parking restrictions near the cemetery will be in place beginning on Oct. 27, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. and road closures will be in place beginning at 2 p.m. Only those with special parking passes will be permitted in certain restricted areas. See the map for details.
The visitor center will be closed to the public on Oct. 27, 2018 beginning at 2:30 p.m. The visitor center will reopen on Oct. 28, 2018, at 9 a.m.
Restrooms will be available behind the visitor center building.
Plot B and C will be closed to the public during the ceremony.
For those decorating graves, please place all flowers prior to the start of the ceremony.
