As USAREUR transforms and evolves to its new operational environment, they are looking to minimize the risk of involuntary separations within the civilian workforce. To help reduce this risk, they have opened the application window for VERA (Voluntary Early Retirement Authority) and VSIP (Voluntary Separation Incentive Pay) for eligible applicants.

There are certain requirements that must be met to be eligible for either program. In addition to other criteria, to be eligible for VERA you must be 50 years of age, with 20 years of service, or any age with 25 years of service. For VSIP, you must be a U.S. citizen on a permanent appointment, with at least 12 months of continuous federal service.
