Women will battle for the title of a champion during the 41st edition of the Porsche Grand Prix in 2018. Located in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, this tournament is played on indoor clay courts and features prize money of $816,000 to be split amongst the winners. Beginning Saturday, April 21, this tournament will run through April 29, with the final games for singles and doubles around 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone and start at 7.50 euros.

This women’s tennis tournament began in 1978 and is Europe’s oldest women’s indoor tournament. Founded by Dieter Fisher, the tournament began after he failed to schedule a men’s event. The first ever winner, Tracy Austin of the U.S., was just 15 years old when she claimed the prize of a Porsche 924 and $35,000.

Since its origin, the prize money has greatly increased and now sits at just over $130,000 for the singles winner, and of course, a new Porsche. This year there will be 32 participants in the individual qualifying, 28 in the singles main draw, and 16 doubles in the main draw. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see some amazing athletes while they fight for the ultimate title of Porsche Tennis Grand Prix champion.
