The Red Cross serves those who serve and is in need of your help. During the recent evacuation of military families from Turkey, the Red Cross collected and distributed thousands of comfort kits. Due to the high volume of distribution, the comfort kit supply is running significantly low. From now until June 24th, the Red Cross is sponsoring a replenishment drive to refill these comfort kits.

The easiest way to help out is to visit the Ramstein commissary and pick up a bag at the front entrance. When you check out, be sure to present the bag to the cashier at check out. Each bag is $3.98 and will be one filled comfort kit. You can also donate items to your local Red Cross station.

Items requested include toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, razors, bar soap, washcloths, hand sanitizers, and feminine hygiene products. Travel sizes (3 oz. or less) are ideal. The main drop-off point in the Kaiserslautern area is the Red Cross office in building 2118 on Ramstein AB between 0800 and 1630. There are some military units conducting drives, so you may want to check with your unit representative.

This replenishment drive is taking place Europe-wide, so call your local Red Cross for the nearest drop-off location to you. Thank you for your generosity!
