A 27 million euro project has begun in Mannheim, which will take four years to complete. This project will repair an 8-kilometer stretch of the A6 autobahn, and will be completed in four phases. While the first construction phase is not expected to start until the beginning of May, preparatory work has begun.

In the direction of Hesse on the Theodor-Heuss-Bridge, only one-lane is passable. In the Kaiserslautern direction, both lanes are currently open, but is subject to change.
