Looking for some fun over the long Memorial Day weekend? Grab your best cosplay and head to the MCM London Comic Con. From Friday, May 26 through Sunday, May 28, the ExCel London will be transformed into a wonderland for caped crusaders, light saber-wielding warrior and other sci-fi and fantasy aficionados.
Sit in discussion panels or attend autograph sessions with your favorite actors, artists and authors. Special guests include Donnie Yen (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”), Billie Piper (“Dr. Who”), Nichelle Nichols (“Star Trek”), Lou Ferrigno (“The Incredible Hulk”), Vern Troyer (“Austin Powers” and “Harry Potter”), Victor Garber (“Alias” and “The Flash”) and Warwick Davis (“Willow” and “Harry Potter”). Fans of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers can purchase a photo pass to ham it up with four of the five superheroes.
Visitors can peruse through the Comic Village to meet up and coming creators, or check out vehicles from films such as “Tranformers” and “The Blues Brothers”. Find special edition and rare memorabilia from one of the many vendors, or take a breather outside at the Fringe Festival, where music and cosplay collide. Gamers can try their hand at some of the newer offerings from Nintendo and Sony.
Tickets for all days are still available at the time of publication. The MCM London Comic Con opens from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.mcmcomiccon.com/london.
