RAMSTEIN AIR BASE – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service opened the doors to its first GNC store on an overseas installation at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center Exchange Mall on Ramstein Air Base on Sept. 1.

Col. Brandon Hileman, Vice Commander of the 86th Airlift Wing; Col. Geoffrey De Tingo, Commander of the Exchange’s Europe/SW Asia OCONUS Region; and Marc Floyd, general manager of the KMCC Exchange, participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to kick off the store’s opening at 10 a.m.

Opening festivities also included celebrity autograph signings from America’s Strongest Man 1998, Karl Gillingham, and 2014 Mr. Olympia, Roman Fritz. Customers enjoyed free product samplings, a free gift with any purchase of $50 or more and more than $1,000 in prize giveaways.

“Bringing GNC to KMCC furthers the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s mission of providing the name-brand mall, dining and product options U.S. service members desire—no matter where they serve,” Floyd said. “With all that Airmen, spouses and families at Ramstein sacrifice to protect American freedoms, it’s the least we can do to bring the services and products that remind them of home right where they live, work and play.”

The KMCC Exchange GNC is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. U.S. holidays.
