On Wednesday, March 22, members from the Armed Forces Agency uncovered a 500-pound World War II-era bomb at a construction site in Einsiedlerhof. A controlled disposal of the ordinance is scheduled to take place Sunday, March 26 at approximately 11 a.m. Residents within a 500-meter radius of the site will be evacuated beginning at 9 a.m.

Traffic will be re-routed through town and will impact Vogelweh and Pulaski Barracks. All traffic accessing the installation will be routed through the Kapaun Gate, as the Pulaski Barracks Gate will be closed. The following areas are affected: Haderwald, the area behind Haderwald and the Rod and Gun Club, L-395 from McDonald's heading west to the Jakob-Pfeiffer-Straße intersection, off-installation housing in Einsiedlerhof adjacent to the Toyota dealership (all the way to Jacob Pfeiffer-Straße), and the industrial area behind Einsiedlerhof — Liebigstraße and Carl-Billandstraße.
