On April 21, 2016 – the world lost one of its greatest music stars – Prince Rogers Nelson. Sometimes known as Prince, sometimes known only as an unpronounceable symbol, he was a musical icon known for his wide vocal range and extravagant style, launching a highly successful career that spanned 30 years.

If you have been aching for some “Purple Rain” and are still looking for your “Raspberry Beret” – look no further. The “My Name Is Prince” official exhibition has just launched in London.

The O2 Arena in Paisley Park, London is rolling out the red carpet for the world premiere of the first-ever official exhibition dedicated to the legendary star. Fans can see clothing from Prince’s “Purple Rain” tour, his wardrobe from the 1990 film “Graffiti Bridge”, the Gibson L65 guitar Prince used to make his national television debut, a diamond-studded cane used in stage performances (along with his diamond-studded vest worn during photo shoots), his “Raspberry Beret” cloud suit from 1985, and so much more!

Prince’s siblings gave the following statement:

“Our family is extremely honored to have this exhibit at The O2, and we know Prince would be as well. He loved to share his work and life with his fans. We know him as a brother who became not only one of the most prolific songwriters of all time, but an entertainer and musician who was unlike any other. It’s only appropriate we share him and these amazing artifacts with the world now that he’s gone.”

Get yourself to London and “celebrate this thing we call life!”
