Grab a seat and witness an explosion of color in the night skies near Stuttgart. Beginning Friday, Aug. 18 through 20, the Flammende Sterne (Flaming Stars) international fireworks competition will set off awe-inspiring pyrotechnics in Ostfildern. This year, teams from Mexico, Germany and Australia will compete to see who is the best of the best.
There will be plenty of live music from a variety of bands, and bass-thumping beats from DJs late into the night. Witness fascinating cultural performances from each country, and taste regional specialties from the many food vendors. Feeling a little adventurous? Hop into a hot air balloon and witness a spectacular sunset while sipping on local bubbly. There will also be plenty of crafts and games to keep the little ones entertained before the grand spectacle begins.
