The Big Meeting: August 9-11: Aach on Lake Constance: Participate in a lightsaber battle, meet guest stars and more at one of the biggest fantasy fests in Germany.

Natsukon: Aug. 10: Coburg: Meet with fellow fans of manga, anime and Japanese culture.

Contaku: August 10-11: Magdeburg: Celebrate all things manga, anime, Japanese pop culture, and cosplay at this two-day con.

Blue Goat Convention: August 15-18: Ilmenau: Eat, sleep and breathe gaming and LARPing in this beautiful German outdoor setting.

Main Matsuri Japan Festival: August 16-18: Offenbach am Main: Enjoy great food, a stage program, a cosplay contest and more. Children under 12 get in free.

ANNOTOPIA: August 16-18: Bad Mergentheim: Enjoy this semi-annual festival that celebrates fandom, steampunk, medieval times, and even dinosaurs.

Altburgfestival: August 16-18: Altburg: Check out a concert, the Celtic market and bring the kids for family day.

NipponCon: August 16-18: Bremen: An event on the topics of anime, manga and Japan: Check out a film, attend a workshop or lecture, rock your cosplay and compete in a competition.

German Film and Comic Con: Aug. 17-18: Essen: Meet the stars from some of your favorite pop culture movies and television shows.

Animany Convention: Aug. 17-18: Siegburg: Meet voice actors, go to a concert, play games and take photographs.

Nihonbashi: August 17-18: Kassel: Celebrate all things Japan: J-Music, manga, anime and more.

Gamescom: August 20-25: Cologne: The world’s largest event for computer and video games and Europe’s leading business platform for the games industry. Shop from vendors and take part in a cosplay contest. The 20th is online only.
