The city of Pilsen has much to offer with its historic beer festival! Beer lovers will be thrilled to enjoy this weekend. Every year, this city celebrates the anniversary of the first brew of Pilsner Urquell in 1842. This beer is so rich in flavor that their methods of brewing have been used with other major beer companies all over the world.
Don’t get a chance to miss out on delectable beers that will be showcased and sampled throughout the festival including many beers only found in the Czech Republic. The festival has spent many hours pairing food that is compatible with beer to bring out its fine flavors.
Can’t get enough of beer? Pilsen can’t either! The town wants to ensure its visitors receive the full beer experience. Some options include learning the process of brewing beer, the techniques used specifically for Pilsner Urquell and going on the brewery tour. The experiences are so authentic; people at the festival can be seen wearing clothes dating back to the 1840s in commemoration of the anniversary of their beloved beer.
Even if beer doesn’t sound too exciting, there are other things that will keep you at the festival. Take time to enjoy the many foods from the Czech Republic and all over the world. Sit back and listen to the live music that will bring a lively, fun atmosphere to the whole festival. Or, stay for the Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender International Competition where they try to create the biggest toast possible attempting to beat the previous year's record.
