After a successful premiere in 2015, the Castle Adventure Days take place for the second time, from May 5 to 7, 2017.

What can visitors expect this year? How looked life back then in medieval times? Not only the little ones should be interested in getting these questions answered. This year, the operators pay special attention to the concept of a “living and animated castle.”

Various craftsmen and representing artists give visitors a view into the late medieval life and its craftsmanship. You will get a look into the inner walls of the fortification, and you can relive the dark and martial Middle Ages during the free tours with cladded guides. Some more activities round the offer. Young damsels and knaves can test their skills at the joust, on a swing boat or at the archery range. The visit of a falconer, who presents his raveners, will be the highlight. Barkers, court jesters, medieval music, numerous artists and a diversified culinary offer, as well as the illumination of Castle Nanstein by a light artist on Friday and Saturday, ensure the right atmosphere.

The Castle Adventure Days are voluntary and mainly hosted by Heimatfreunde Landstuhl (homeland friends of Landstuhl), supported by Schützengemeinschaft Landstuhl (community of shooters), as well as Fanfarenzug Sickinger Herolde (fanfare corps) and the medieval community LEGENDE e.V.
