Drivers in the KMC have been feeling the pain of longer commute times on the A6 over the past few days. According to the Polizeipräsidium Westpfalz, expect delays through Thursday, Oct. 27.

Traffic flow on A6 direction Saarbrücken through the current construction zone will be reduced to one lane. Due to recent heavy rains, some of the recent roadwork has deteriorated and must be re-milled and compacted before a new surface can be applied. Expect alternate routes through the city center to also be heavily congested.

Drivers are advised to avoid the roadways around the city center, and to allow yourself extra time to arrive at your destination. According to the Landesbetriebs Mobilität, the repairs should be completed by Thursday evening.
