Here is a list of some of our favorite places to see while in Strasbourg.

Strasbourg Cathedral The Strasbourg Cathedral was constructed in 1874 and stands within the north side of the city, on Place de la Cathédrale. It showcases the gothic style of architecture after being rebuilt following a fire four years prior. One of the cathedral’s most breathtaking features are gorgeous stained-glass windows that date back to the 12th century! For more information regarding the history of the cathedral, visit this webpage.

La Petite France If you are looking to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat, visit the historic quarter of the city, La Petite France. This walking-only section of the city is home to a beautiful system of canals, as well as a variety of shops and restaurants. Au Petit Tonnelier is a great option if you are looking for a selection of both general European cuisine or local French. For a full menu and further details regarding dining, visit the restaurant’s website.

European Parliament The official seat of European Parliament is located in Strasbourg! This uniquely circular building has a much more modern architectural appeal and is now welcoming visitors again. There are several activities to do in person, but if you’d rather, there are also quite a few ways to virtually visit from the comfort of your own home. To find out more about the options, visit the European Parliament website.

Modern and Contemporary Art Museum Looking for a little escapism from current events? The Modern and Contemporary Art Museum, or the Musée de la Ville de Strasbourg, is a perfect option! The museum faces La Petite France and houses a huge variety of pieces in several intricate exhibitions. The entrance fee is approximately seven euros per person, which makes this excursion both affordable and exciting! For information on current exhibitions and museum hours, visit the museum’s webpage.
