Summer is a great time for catching up on movies and shows you haven’t seen yet. However, the binge can only last so long before you start to notice the imprint in your couch getting deeper. Instead of watching the final product from film studios, hit the pause button and get out to experience the silver screen from the other side.
Hollywood and New York are not the only two cities famous for producing movies. One of Europe's largest film productions companies happens to be located in Munich. The Bavaria Filmstadt was founded in 1919 by producer Peter Ostermayr. “Enemy Mine,” “The Pleasure Garden,” “The Sound of Music,” and “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” all had portions filmed at this very studio.
