(Stripes Staff)
We are excited to feature the perspectives and creative talents of the military-connected children throughout Europe and the Middle East during April’s Month of the Military Child!
To celebrate our military-connected kids, we will be featuring their creativity, thoughts and voices here on StripesEurope.com. We encourage DoDEA schools, Child Development Centers (CDC), Youth and Teen Centers, and organized homeschool groups to participate by sending submissions.
The school or organization with the highest percentage participation will win a $500 gift card!
Our Month of the Military Child toolkits are a helpful resource for teachers and group leaders. Email us at momceurope@stripes.com to request a PDF copy! Each age-appropriate toolkit includes prompts and creative space to use with your student group.
Use the suggested prompts from our toolkit, or let their creativity shine! Here are some ideas of what to send:
Artwork
Coloring pages
Written experiences
Poetry
Military-kid-themed worksheets
Videos
Once you’re ready to send your group’s submissions, email them to momceurope@stripes.com.
Accepted file types include PDF, JPEG, PNG or mp4 videos.
When submitting a picture or video, please make sure the child’s last name or other PII is left off. We will only use first name if referencing a particular piece.
Don’t forget to let us know what DODEA school or organization the children are affiliated with.
Individuals are also welcome to submit their own child’s work.
