How I feel about moving around the world: I think it’s a very fun experience, although there are downs like leaving friends a lot but as a military child making more is pretty easy.

Things I wish I knew before moving to a new country: To switch out all of my cables so my stuff would work here.

The struggles of moving around the world: Packing and leaving friends.

How the culture of different places affects me: I talk differently sometimes but I also learn new things.

How has the base your school is on affect what you did during/after school: Personally, I feel like different bases, bring different things. When I was in Daegu, South Korea, I would go to the PX almost every day because it was so close to the school. Here in Germany, I feel like my friends and I are almost always trying to make plans but no one can give us a ride to Ramstein. From KHS to the BX on Ramstein is way too far to walk. I wish we could actually have a place to go and hang out after school.

How the culture of different places affects me: When I lived in Crete, everyone was really kind and helpful. When I lived in the U.S. people were still kind but less helping and they mainly kept to themselves. When I moved to Germany, no one acknowledged me, and it was a shock. People when I was on the street would look at me weird if I smiled at them in passing so I learned to keep to myself and not look in anyone’s direction, the only people who would say hello to me when I’m out for a walk would be the people who lived in my neighborhood.
