Our “Dandelions” magazine is created especially for military-affiliated kids across Europe, and we rely on youth voices to help us develop the stories for this twice-yearly publication.

Recently, our writing and design teams had the opportunity to visit with a second-grade class at the Ramstein Elementary School library. After getting suggestions from these same students last fall, it was exciting to present them with our most recent “Dandelions” magazine that features some of their incredible ideas.

Our visits corresponded with Purple Up Day, when military-affiliated kids wear purple as part of their Month of the Military Child celebrations.

Afterward, we walked across the street to Ramstein Intermediate School where Mr. Bauer’s fourth-grade class welcomed us. Each student got a copy of the new “Dandelions” and helped us with a great brainstorming session about topics, crafts and activities for future editions.

As our “Dandelions” magazine continues to grow, our focus remains on the military-affiliated kids it is created for.
