In the month of Halloween, which is all about tricks and treats, joys and scares, it seemed appropriate to look at the different excitements and fears of military life. From travels to TDYs, moving, retirement and more, there are so many things that make military life both scary and exciting.
Over the past decade, InDependent has emerged as an innovative leader for military spouse wellness, filling a crucial gap in support amidst a landscape dominated by organizations serving military service members and their families.
This month we are featuring Bavaria Community Spouses’ Club and Hohenfels Community Spouses’ Club. I spoke with BCSC President, Leslie, her daughter/volunteer Quin, and HCSC Treasurer, Jacklyn. They shared their stories about working with the club.

I spoke with Linda Skoglund, the Public Affairs and Publicity Chair as well as the Communications Director for the Bazaar, and Kari Jennings, President for the 2022-2023 year, and they shared their experiences working with the spouse club.
This month we are talking about volunteering and going to school. Many spouses find themselves unable to find or commit to a job because of their location or personal responsibilities, and many find school or volunteering becomes a good alternative.
