“It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents - except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets….””
Picture this iconic literary opening line setting the scene, but add candy smiles, family costumes, and Halloween decorations galore, and you have the 2025 Wiesbaden Community Trunk or Treat event!
The Wiesbaden Community showed up in full costume and full spirit for this year’s Trunk or Treat event, held on Lower Hainerberg on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 5 - 8 p.m. About 30 volunteer community participants prepared their wickedly creative trunks, tents and activities for close to 1,000 people of all ages who attended and enjoyed the bewitching family-friendly event.
The 2025 Wiesbaden Community Trunk or Treat was co-led by Jenn Casas, Administrative/3rd VP, and Mary Puckett, Community Support Treasurer, both volunteer Board Members of the Wiesbaden Community Spouses Club (WCSC). Together with vital and dedicated community partners, the planning team collaborated to execute a safe, family-friendly, fun and on-theme military base Halloween event.
“Seeing more than 1,000 community members come together for 2025’s Wiesbaden Community Trunk or Treat was absolutely incredible…the energy, laughter and joy shared among everyone was unforgettable! Partnering with our Garrison-recognized Private Organizations, Community Partners, Units, and families made it such a joy…”

Even with a little rain and chill in the air, the Wiesbaden community’s warm and spirited members made Trunk or Treat 2025 an event to be remembered. Every participant’s volunteerism and dedication to the event proved that an accessible, family-friendly evening can build strong community connections that go beyond the Halloween holiday.
WCSC President, Ashley Dixon, shared that the success of the event is “a fantastic example of what makes our community so special - connection, creativity, and community spirit.” Every ghoul or goblin, witch or wizard, can attest that these are the kind of rewarding community events that bring out the best in every local volunteer and military community member.
All the decorated trunks, tents and activity-hosting participants were also local community volunteers, the majority being Halloween-devoted families. Each participant went above and beyond with creativity to turn the Lower Hainerberg parking lot into a magical and spellbinding evening for all the guests. In return for their benevolent efforts and candy generosity, a number of participants were awarded in the following categories, as voted on by guests attending.
