A few years ago, parents transformed November into Dinovember when they convinced their children that toy dinosaurs come to life every night during the month. This Dinovember, Rheinland-Pfalz Library is joining in the prehistoric fun with special events.

Nov. 1-30, 2016 Dinovember Photo Contest

The time has come for the annual Dinovember Photo Contest! November is the month that toy dinosaurs come to life; capture their adventures and submit your photos to Rheinland-Pfalz Library for a chance to win a “dino-mite” prize! The entry period is Nov. 1 through 30. Open to all ages.

Nov. 2, 2016 Preschool Dinovember Storytime

Celebrate “Dinovember,” the month that toy dinosaurs come to life! Rheinland-Pfalz Library hosts a Preschool Dinovember Storytime on Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. Open to preschool-aged children, ages three to five, and their parents. No registration required.

Nov. 5, 2016 Dinovember Party!

Are you ready to party with dinosaurs? Stop by the Landstuhl Youth Center, Bldg. 93812 on Nov. 5 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the Dinovember Party. Join Rheinland-Pfalz Library staff for Dino snacks, crafts and more! Open to all ages; no registration required.

Nov. 19, 2016 Dinovember Movie Day

Celebrate the month of dinosaurs with a Dinovember Movie Day! Rheinland-Pfalz Library hosts two movie showings on Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first showing will be a G-rated film; the second will be “Jurassic” rated. Refreshments will be provided. Open to all ages; no registration required.
