The Child and Youth Services (CYS) Bavaria Warriors 13–15 Tackle Football Team closed out their 2025 season as the CYS Europe runners-up after a hard-fought 20–16 loss to the Kaiserslautern Team 1 Bulldogs in the European Championship Game on Nov. 1 at Kaiserslautern High School.
Played under intermittent rain, the title matchup proved to be a close and physical contest from start to finish. Both teams traded scoring runs and delivered strong defensive performances, containing their opponents’ ground attacks while securing tackles and providing solid pass coverage. Each side also blocked extra-point attempts, keeping the score tight until the final minutes.
Despite a determined fourth-quarter push by the Warriors, the Bulldogs held on to claim the championship.
The Bavaria Warriors’ second-place finish caps an inspiring comeback season for the program. After going winless in 2023 and falling short of fielding a complete roster in 2024, this year’s team rebuilt from the ground up — advancing all the way to the CYS Europe Championship and representing the Bavarian region with pride and resilience.
