The CYS Bavaria 13–15 Tackle Football Team earned a spot in the 2025 CYS Europe Championship after a 16–6 semi-final victory over Kaiserslautern Team 2 in Stuttgart.
The win marks a remarkable turnaround for the program. The last full squad, fielded in 2023, went winless that season — and just one player from that roster remains today. The following year, the 2024 team had only seven players, too few to compete, but those players continued to practice throughout the season. Their persistence helped rebuild the foundation for this year’s roster, which has now advanced all the way to the championship game.
This year’s team brings together 13- to 15-year-old athletes from across the Bavarian region, who have developed into a disciplined and unified squad — now standing just one win away from a European title.
The Warriors will face Kaiserslautern Team 1 in the CYS Europe Tackle Football Championship Game on Saturday, November 1, in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
