Shop till you drop in one of Europe's 222 outlet malls

Growing up, one of the highlights of summer was hitting the outlet malls in August. As the school year approached, racks would be scoured to find the hottest deals, the best sales, the deepest discounts.

Up until the 1990’s, the shopping concept of an outlet mall was a United States mainstay – not a European one. High-end retailers scoffed at the idea of putting one of their prestigious stores in an outlet-mall setting, which are largely outside of city centers, in more suburban areas. Retailers simply didn’t think an American outlet-mall concept would work in Europe.

Good news for us – they were wrong!

The concept took off like wildfire. Europeans, just like Americans, flocked to the outlet malls for luxury and designer goods at bargain prices.

With 27 malls in Germany, 16 in Italy, 23 in England – whether you are stationed at Ramstein or Wiesbaden, Stuttgart or Sigonella or the U.K. – there is an outlet mall near you!
