Experience the magic of the Christmas Garden Berlin

With the last-minute shopping frenzy to find the perfect holiday gift in full swing, area Christmas markets are sure to be crowded. Escape the crowds and take a stroll through the illuminated landscape of the Berlin Botanical Garden. Similar to Christmas at Kew in London, the Christmas Garden Berlin is a dazzling display of lights and visual effects.

With millions of twinkling lights guiding you along a 1.7-kilometer path, it’s hard to remember you’re in the heart of one of the largest metropolitan cities in Europe. The lush gardens are transformed into an enchanted and breathtaking atmosphere. Trees are awash in festive colors, and more than 20 Christmas-themed figures are strategically placed throughout the garden. If the night air is a little too brisk, cozy up at one of the traditional outdoor fireplaces with a warm beverage. Enjoy delicious regional specialties from one of the local food stalls, or try ice-skating at the 300-square-meter rink.

The Christmas Garden Berlin is open daily through Jan. 15, 2023. Tickets can be purchased online for the schedule admission times. The Christmas Garden will be closed Dec. 24 and 31, 2022 .
