In 2016, 98 traffic accidents were reported in the 5-kilometer-long construction zone of A6 in Kaiserslautern. This number is up 46 percent from the previous year. High speed, erratic driving and tailgating were the primary causes of these accidents.
Drivers in the KMC have been feeling the pain of longer commute times on the A6 over the past few days. According to the Polizeipräsidium Westpfalz, expect delays through Thursday, Oct. 27.
