School Liaison Officer (SLO) | Bldg. 106 | 955-84-8044
Morón does not have child or youth programs, however, the SLO supplies community families with a seasonal package that includes local Spanish activities with sign up information. The SLO helps parents find and enroll young kids in local Spanish daycare. In addition, the SLO can help your family make the best choice of schooling while stationed at Morón.
High School Students
There is no high school at Morón. High school students can ride a bus to Rota High School (90 minutes each way), attend a local Spanish public school, homeschool or pay for private schooling.

With roughly 30 students in grades K-8, the school is one of the smallest DoWEA schools in the world. The school offers students a great opportunity for individualized education that can help close educational gaps. Clubs at the school are open to all kids stationed at Morón, not just those enrolled.

Unaccompanied personnel ranked E-4 with under three years of service will be assigned a room in the dorms.
Accompanied personnel may choose to live on or off base. There are a small number of standalone homes available on base with a short walk to the school. Most people live off base and you can search www.homes.mil for available rentals. The housing office will assist you with finding a home, setting up utilities, answering banking questions, delivering loaner furniture and appliances and translation services.
There is a small clinic available for active duty only. All personnel and their dependents will be using TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) for health insurance purposes, enabling them to see local Spanish providers.

The Naval Hospital at Rota is roughly 90 minutes away.
