Can’t seem to find a pet sitter around the holidays? Thinking of taking your dog with you? Don’t even know where to start? You’re in luck, today, we’ll be covering kennels in the Kaiserslautern area and a beautiful hotel made specifically for you and your dog!

Rainbow Farm Landstuhl
When it comes to the furry friend in your life, the best is not an option but a necessity. That’s why Rainbow Farm Landstuhl strives for the best standards in regards to taking care of your dog. This kennel houses dogs and cats of six months of age and older. Make sure your pets are up to date on all their vaccinations, but if they have other meds, it’s not a problem! The kennel will give them their meds and make sure they are thoroughly taken care of. Worried about your pets? Don’t be! There’s a veterinarian five minutes away should something happen to your little furry friend. The kennel itself offers both indoor and outdoor facilities for their guests and indoor heating for those many winter days Germany has to offer. Also, feel free to bring other items such as pillows, blankets, toys, anything that will make your pet more comfortable, the kennel encourages it to allow your pet to have the best stay possible. Depending on the size of the dog, fees will be anywhere from 13 to 20 euros a night. To find out more, visit the official website.

Hundezentrum WestPfalz
Located about 15 minutes from Ramstein Air Force Base, or about 17 minutes from Kaiserslautern, this kennel also acts as a dog training facility. Because the kennel believes in the best for your dog, they recommend you bring their food from home, so their eating habits don’t change. If you want your dog smelling nice and clean by the time you get back, no problem! They'll be able to give your dog a bath. For an additional cost, the kennel will even work with your dog during their dog training school hours. If you have a very social dog, they'll even take last minute bookings. For more information visit them on their website or call them at 0176/650 923 70.

Residenz Gruber
Can’t say goodbye to your dog? That’s ok, this hotel is one of the most dog-friendly hotels in Europe! Located in Bad Gastein, Austria, it is a perfect place for your pet to run around with hiking trails in the summer and snowy slopes in the winter and a garden on the grounds. When greeted at the hotel, your dog will receive a doggie gift bag. Continuing to cater to your canine, the room itself will have a dog bowl and specially made dog mattress for your canine to sleep comfortably. Your dog can basically accompany you anywhere, including dinner where they can have their own food and even be served from a doggie bar! There is no additional cost for bringing your dog, but if you need other services like daycare or want them to be pampered, it comes at an additional cost. For more information or booking arrangements visit their official website.
