Fashionable updates for traveling this fall

I don’t know about you, but packing for a trip is half of the fun for me. I love putting together the perfect outfits and adding just the right accessories to complete the look. Despite my desire to always look moderately well put together, sometimes practicality outweighs fashion when you are traveling; however, that doesn’t mean you have to totally throw your style out the window. Check out these fashionable finds for traveling this fall that are both functional and cute.

  1. The North Face City Voyager Daypack. This backpack is perfect for someone looking to haul their stuff around the city without all the frills of a designer bag. It comes in four chic colors and has various zippered compartments to keep your stuff safe. It only weighs about 1 pound and is made of a lovely soft nylon. Perfect for the city trekker on the go!
  2. Merrell Moab 2 Mid Waterproof hiking boots. The worst part about hiking is having sore feet or getting your feet wet. Avoid both of these issues with some of Merrell’s best selling hiking boots, made for both men and women. These boots are perfect for day hikers and will keep you moving for as long as you like. They come at a reasonable price ($135) and can oftentimes be found on sale. Both men and women’s boots have over 4-star ratings on the Merrell website, so you know you’ve found some seriously awesome boots!
  3. FitFlop Lulu sandal. If you just can’t part with your sandals when sightseeing (even in the fall), try out these ultra-comfy sandals that offer great arch support and won’t kill your feet. Though they aren’t the trendiest thing on the market, they don’t look terrible either. They come in a variety of colors to match any outfit and will make it easier for you to go further without so many breaks for your aching feet!
  4. Clarks Un Maui Step sneaker. Sometimes you just have to wear sneakers for trekking all over the place, even though heels or flats are much more stylish. Try something a little different, like these athleisure shoes that feature a contoured foot bed and rubber soles for maximum comfort. They’re stylish enough that you won’t look like one of those crazy tourists and comfortable enough to keep you moving all day long.
  5. Clarks Hinman Mid Dark Tan Suede boots. Men’s feet get sore too! Though their options for comfort far outweigh those for women. These fashionable boots are the perfect transition for fall and offer layers of padding to really keep your feet happy. The brown suede can easily be dressed up or down as needed, depending on your travel destination.
  6. Buffway Slim Minimalist Front Pocket RFID Blocking Leather Wallets. Nobody wants their identity stolen, especially while on vacation. There’s nothing worse than opening up your credit card statement and wondering how you could possibly be in Italy and France at the same time. Take extra precaution with this stylishly small wallet. It’s designed for both men and women and blocks RFID signals. It comes in a variety of colors and has an overall rating of 4.6 stars on Amazon.
  7. Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle. Sometimes when you are on the go it’s hard to drag around an entire water bottle. Problem solved! Check out this collapsible bottle that is leak-proof, BPA free and incredibly durable. Attach it to your bag or loop it around your wrist when on the go. You’ll save yourself lots of money if you bring water with you instead of paying for it almost everywhere in Europe. The best part? It’s dishwasher safe!
  8. Tinyat Travel Fanny Bag Waist Pack. You can love them or hate them, but you can’t ignore the fact that fanny packs are ridiculously useful. This particular one comes in patterns for almost every occasion and has just enough room for your phone, keys and credit cards. The lightweight design will make you forget you are lugging around your belongings without carrying a heavy bag. Use with caution: these packs will indeed make you look like a tourist.
  9. Eddie Bauer Men’s Cloud Layer Pro 1/4-Zip Pullover. When the weather cools down you’ll need to pack layers to prepare for any temperature. This ultra-soft, quick dry sweater is the perfect pick. It’s made of durable polyester fleece that will keep the chills at bay.
  10. Eddie Bauer Women’s Camp Fleece Open Wrap. Ladies, let’s be honest. We’re always cold. Wrap up in this adorable fleece sweater in black or lavender to stay nice and toasty while you’re strolling down the streets of Paris or stargazing somewhere in the Alps. It has pockets so this piece is likely to become your next favorite.

You certainly can’t leave your house without a mask!  And I’m sorry, but the chances of making your mask fashionable are slim to none. The whole family can enjoy Petunia Pickle Bottom Family Face Masks. There are four adult and four child-sized reusable masks in this set. There are two masks with prints and two plain so that you can choose which one fits your current mood. Don’t get caught without one or your dream vacation might just turn into a nightmare!

Whether you are staying close to home or traveling to a new country, try out some of these great products to enhance your trip. Not only are these products cute, they’re also practical, so you can justify doing a little extra shopping this month.
