Just because we may be away from home, doesn't mean we can't celebrate our nation on the 4th of July. Check out these fun fests the whole family can enjoy!

German American Friendship FestJune 29-July 4, WiesbadenClay Kaserne building 1631

Celebrate America as well as our host nation at this fun festival. The former Hainerberg Shopping Center transforms into a festival ground that includes rides, live music, food stands and much more! Be sure not to miss out on Family Day on July 2 with discounts on rides and amusements. The fest concludes in a way we know best: a traditional firework display to celebrate the Fourth of July. Note that there is no parking is available on the fest grounds, so use of public transportation is highly encouraged.

Freedom Fest July 3-4, RamsteinEnlisted Club parking lot

Let freedom ring on Ramstein with its annual freedom fest. This festival that celebrates all things Fourth of July will have carnival rides, bowling, food, live bands and of course, fireworks! Enjoy the pyrotechnic show at 10:30 p.m. Live music from local bands and special guest Rodney Atkins will also be there to keep us dancing all evening long. The event starts at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and ends at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Independence Day CelebrationJuly 4, BavariaTower Barracks Parade Field

Head to this decorated field for a day full of excitement and family fun for all! Munch on food provided by food trucks, win raffles, take your kids to get their face painted, bounce on bouncy castles, enjoy music and so much more this 4th of July! There will also be a Boss Car and Bike Show and USO Show Troupe. Be sure to bring tents, chairs, blankets, mini grills in order to enjoy the fireworks which start at 10:30 p.m. Due to an expected large crowd, pets are not allowed.

Independence Day CelebrationJuly 4, StuttgartHusky Field, Patch Barracks

Join the USAG Stuttgart community to celebrate the biggest event of the year, which is kicked off with a patriotic parade, carnival games and fun fest goodies such as fried Oreos and bloomin’ onions! Country singer Rodney Atkins, famous for his song “Take a Back Road,” will be performing as well as have us singing. Physical activities like the Stuttgart Warrior Challenge and an arm wrestling competition will also be available for those who feel strong. Children can enjoy not only snow cones and popcorn but also kid-friendly games. To conclude a fun celebration, firework displays will cover the night sky at 10:30 p.m.
