Free summer reading programs

Free summer reading programs
One way for students to avoid the summer brain drain is to read. Super nerdy Amanda as a kid loved getting lost in a good book, especially anything by Roald Dahl or Bill Wallace. The same can be said for adult Amanda. DOD-MWR libraries across Europe offer free summer reading programs for all ages. There are even incentives for those who reach their reading goals! Below are libraries that may be closest to your base. Be sure to register!
Belgium:
Benelux USAG (Shape & Chievres)
Benelux-Schinnen USAG (JFC Brunssum)
Italy:
Italy USAG (Camp Darby, Livorno)
Germany:
Rheinland-Pfalz (Kaiserslautern)
Rheinland-Pfalz USAG (Baumholder)
United Kingdom:
If you're not near a base library, you can enroll in the DoD-MWR's Virtual Summer Reading Program. It's free for Guard, Reserve and Active Duty kids & teens. Register for the virtual program here.
