One way for students to avoid the summer brain drain is to read. Super nerdy Amanda as a kid loved getting lost in a good book, especially anything by Roald Dahl or Bill Wallace. The same can be said for adult Amanda. DOD-MWR libraries across Europe offer free summer reading programs for all ages. There are even incentives for those who reach their reading goals!
